Kumbhalgarh Fort

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

A vibrant and rich biodiversity: Rambling over 578 sq km, surrounding the fort, the sanctuary is a haven for adventure and thrill. The sanctuary has some exotic wildlife species, such as jungle cats, chinkara, deer, nilgai, sloth bear, leopards, and wolves. This forest is home to over 2—species of bird and grey jungle fowl, golden oriole, wild-breasted kingfishers, parakeets, peacocks, doves, etc. One can indulge in super thrilling jeep safaris, ride horses, or trek.

Known for its beautiful interiors and architecture, the temple is located exactly below the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Neelkanth Mahato Temple

Neelkanth Mahato, a famous Shiva temple, is another serene and beautiful place to visit here. The temple has an open mandapa, pillars with inscriptions, a sanctum, 6ft high Shiva Linga that is made of stone and has entrances on all four sides.

Vedi Temple

Don’t miss out on this beautiful Jain temple located near the fort’s hanuman gate. This 3-storied building is considered the sole surviving relic of every sacrificial site in the country.

Parshuram Temple

Perched inside a cave where Rishi Parshuram used to meditate, the temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The cave has tombs of Lord Ganesha along with nine holy ponds or kunds that never dry out. You need to climb around 500 steps to seek blessings.
