1 Hawa Mahal

The Palace of Winds, also known as Hawa Mahal, was built in 1798 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh which is a well-known landmark in Jaipur. It has a five-story exterior, and the windows have been decorated with intricate latticework that was meant for the royal ladies so that they could observe the daily life of the commoners whilst being unseen from outside.The structure is made of pink and red sandstone and has a pyramidal structure resembling a crown.

2 Jal Mahal

Standing majestic and tall in the mid of the Man Sagar Lake is the famous structure in Jaipur- the Jal Mahal. It is a romantic and beautiful sight to behold as it floats in the sparkling blue lake. Enjoy the beautiful location by talking strolls along the pathways of the mahal. The location surrounding the Jal Mahal is decorated with royal cenotaphs and chhatris that make for a picturesque sight. The beautiful scene comes alive with the setting sun casting pale golden rays over the blue waters and pink sandstone.

3 Stepwell

Dozens of tessellating diamond staircasescrisscross their way down 8 stories to the green, murky water sitting at the bottom of the Panna Meena Ka Kund. Built during the 16th century, the geometric staircases of this baori are an outstanding combination of ingenious Indian architectural and engineering beauty, the octagonal gazebos, the recesses doorways, and in a crisscross manner, the symmetrical arrangement of the stairs. Lately, this has become Jaipur’s most instagrammable place.

4 Jantar Mantar

Famed for its meticulous mathematical accuracy and architecture, Jantar Mantar has amazed astrologists and scientists worldwide. Feature the largest sundials in the world, and this astronomical observatory is UNESCO world’s largest heritage site. It is a collection of 19 architectural instruments and was made by the Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh. The world’s largest stone astronomical observatory makes Jantar Mantar a special destination for travelers.

5 Amer Fort

Made of white marble and red sandstone and located around 24 km from Jaipur Airport, Amer (Amber) is a fort palace. It is famous for its majestically standing fort and its picturesque landscape with Maota lake as its backdrop. Sitting upon the rugged hills, it is an example of a fascinating blend of both Hindu and Muslim architecture. It is a delightful display of the lifestyle of Jaipur’s royals.

6 City Palace

City Palace in Jaipur has served a greater role in Rajasthan’s history and to date, is the residence of royal families. It is a palace complex comprising the Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal. The architectural style of the palace is an amazing combination of European, Mughal, and Rajasthani architecture.
